WE ARE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THE HOST OF LAW ROCKS SF...

DJ Aaron Axelson

Bay Area native DJ Aaron Axelsenhas been championing new music for two decades now and is currently the Music Director/Assistant Program Director of Entercom’s freshly launched Bay Area alternative station ALT 1053.  Aaron is instrumental in booking two iconic Northern California radio music festivals, too, with BFDand Not So Silent Night.

Axelsen also co-founded in 1996 one of the country’s longest running weekly indie parties Popscene–which currently takes place Friday’s at Rickshaw Stop, San Francisco- and is where artists like Flume, Phoenix, Muse, Amy Winehouse, Calvin Harris, Mumford and Sons, Vampire Weekend, Sam Smith, Lily Allen, The Killers, Glass Animals, Florence + The Machine, Alt-J,Foals, Arctic Monkeys, etc, all made their SF debuts.

Finally, Aaron has been a fixture on the Bay Area airwaves hosting the long-running weekly new music show SOUNDCHECK, which airs Sunday’s 9PM-12AM on ALT 1053. BENEFITING NONPROFITS

One of the coolest things about Law Rocks concerts is that each band of rock star lawyers gets to pick a local nonprofit organization to rock - and fundraise - for. This means that each event raises funds and attention for multiple organizations that do amazing work in the community. Check out this year's selection of amazing organizations.
