At her core, Valerie Ojeda is a storyteller with a Chicago soul. Known for her boundless energy and a voice that can command any room, Valerie has built a career around the magic of human connection. During the week, she is the professional face of Fortune 500 leaders like Dell, 3M, and Microsoft, traveling the country as a corporate presenter and event emcee. But when the weekend arrives, Valerie finds her true home on stage.

As the lead singer and manager of "Anthem Road," she has shared the spotlight with icons like Berlin and Warrant, but her most cherished memories are the moments that move the spirit. From singing the National Anthem for a stadium of fans to her life-changing experience performing for U.S. Troops in Kuwait this past summer, Valerie’s heart is always with her audience. For her, being on stage is more than just entertainment; it is an act of service. Joining Law Rocks is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream: the opportunity to turn her "highest form of consciousness" into a tangible way to give back to the communities she loves.

Born not in a garage, but somewhere between the school pickup lane and the baseball fields, South Tempe’s own The Bone Daddies are proof that beneath sensible shoes and minivan playlists still beats the heart of 1990s rock.

United by kids at the same elementary school, and a desperate need for adult conversation that doesn’t involve playdates or snack duty, these suburban fathers picked up their instruments and never looked back. Packing serious musical chops and a fearless mix of crowd anthems and deep cuts from Nirvana to No Doubt, The Bone Daddies deliver a high-energy flashback that sends the whole crowd right back to homeroom. They’re taking the stage for Law Rocks to bring the noise, trade cargo shorts for stage lights, and rock out like it’s 1999.

Some bands break up. Some bands sell out. Crazy Finger just keeps showing up, which, in the Grateful Dead tradition, is really the whole point. After such a long, long time to be gone, we are back for another Law Rocks Phoenix, with Stuart Epstein (guitar, vocals), Leon Silver (bass, vocals), Bryan Hawksworth (drums), Eric Ramsey (guitar, vocals), and Michael Dallek (cosmic harmonica), now joined by Johnny Mac on keyboards and vocals. Johnny has been fully briefed on the setlist, which, as any Deadhead knows, is less a plan than a rumor and can include any variety of combinations plucked from a songbook that is more than a long train running from coast to coast.

Faithful to the Dead's core belief that a song isn't really over until someone starts another one, Crazy Finger specializes in swirling jams, unplanned segues, and the occasional moment when the whole band collectively wonders what key they're in. It's not a mistake. It's a conversation. One minute you're floating on a mellow groove, the next you're driving that train, high on...., no map, and no regrets, and it all lands somewhere between Shakedown Street and Terrapin Station, a little later than planned, with everyone smiling.

So dust off the tie-dye, stretch out your dancing bear, and come rock for a great cause. Nobody knows where the night is going, least of all the band, and that's the magic of it.

Doug Passon is a lifelong musician whose creative roots run as deep as his work in law and storytelling. Growing up with a guitar never far from reach, he spent countless hours of his angsty teenaged years emersed in the music of the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Neil Young. Over the years, Doug has written, performed, and recorded original music that reflects the same themes that animate his advocacy and documentary filmmaking work—humanity, justice, and the power of a well‑told story.

His recent album, “One Good Thing” is available on streaming and vinyl.

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” Unless you called it Probustus. Then it would smell exactly like a group of dads and one mom from Tempe who like to jam on weekends. We want to be rockstars but, you know, we have lives. Michael practices law and plays lead guitar. Andy is a teacher who also happens to sing and play guitar. Paul is a renaissance man who has been credited as a pilot, teacher, and drummer. Little is known of Alex’s past. Maybe he’s the result of top-secret government experiments. Or maybe he’s just a good dude with a penchant for playing bass and gardening. Kim plays keyboard, sings, and knows real music terms like “tonic” and “measure.”

Retro-Active is a high energy rock & roll cover band playing in the Valley since 2006. Featuring dynamic male band female vocals, Retro-Active set lists are full of songs that make you jump out of your seat to dance and sing along. The band has been supporting the Alice Cooper Solid Rock Foundation for 7 years as well as other local non-profits.

By day, they’re advocates, advisors, and number-crunchers. By night? They turn up the volume and lay down the law with guitars, drums, and keys. Rock Judicata is a band of pros who swap suits for strings to deliver high-energy rock with heart.

On drums, Josiah Reid keeps time with the precision of a courtroom cross-examination. Khaled Tarazi brings the rhythm guitar heat and lead vocals, blending lyrical grit with legal wit. Bassist Chello Johnson brings Euro-Gypsy soul to the low end, keeping the foundation fierce and funky. Lead guitarist Ryan Evans unleashes solos sharp enough to double as closing arguments—when he’s not advising clients at Alpha Rising Wealth Management. Keyboardist and backup vocalist Sumaya Tarazi’s musical flair adds fresh depth and harmony to the band’s sound. And keep your eyes and ears peeled for Micah Ensor, a lead guitar fireball whose blazing riffs and infectious energy light up every Rock Judicata performance.

Whether they’re rocking the stage at Law Rocks or jamming after hours, Rock Judicata brings a verdict that’s unanimous: Guilty of bringing the house down.

Wizards of the Third Age are five dusty wanderers determined to heighten the progression tree of bardship. Their incantations conjure thunder and raucous power like rain to an arid wasteland. These desert denizens are never late nor early, arriving precisely when they mean to.

The Wizards live by their creed: If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. Unite in the Fellowship. Speak friend and enter.
