The 6th Annual Law Rocks Houston saw six bands proving just how hard lawyers can rock at White Oak Music Hall on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Each band featured rock star legal professionals, with eight firms represented, and all brought tremendous musical talent to the stage. Bands rallied to raise over $180K, setting a new record for Law Rocks Houston!

The evening began with a rooftop VIP party presented by Mo Lovett Law. Lawyers gathered with friends and colleagues in celebration of the evening to come, sipping red “Mo-tini” signature cocktails and enjoying small bites leading up to show time. Lovett eased the transition from cocktail hour to a night of rock with smooth vocals on stage as part of the night’s opening band, Joint Custody. Next up, The Commitments two-stepped on stage with glitz in shiny jackets, lit up the crowd with glow sticks, and delighted with a hot harmonica solo. Twenty 24 Souls brought the funk and had the audience in a trance with their tight instrumentals. In a stand-out moment, they donned green hats and brought out bagpipes - a Law Rocks first! Material Breach gave a hit of dopamine with nineties garage band nostalgia that kept the crowd engaged and singing along, call-and-response-style. Blackacre brought the Y2K vibes back in style with fun song choices and energy that had the crowd living their best life. Closing out the night, Little Victories donned orange jumpsuits, exuded extreme rock band energy, and ended the night with a victory of their own, winning the Judges’ Choice Award!

This night was full good vibes, great music, and outstanding giving. We’re so proud of our Houston bands and had the best time rocking with all of you!

We were pleased to present our 2026 Music Matters Grant to AFA - American Festival for the Arts, an organization founded to break down the barriers that exist in music education. Entry: 10.8 - Recruit six attorneys from McDowell Hetherington (2.1); analyze, review, and revise setlist to accommodate two vocalists, two guitarists, a death metal bassist, and a washed-up drummer (2.4); develop arguments regarding and debate merits of song choices from the 90s and early 2000s (2.20); research and identify practice spaces around Houston and maybe sometimes in our conference room (2.20); perform at LawRocks Houston for a worthy cause (4.10).

We are the the band equivalent of finding street parking on the first try. We are the exhibit you forgot you needed. We are the redlines they actually accepted. We are the settlement conference for your inner chaos. Your Honor, we move to enter these sick riffs into evidence: Little Victories.

Rocking for Belong Kitchen

The band that toed the line just to make sure it could jump as far over the line as possible.  The band that laughs at email reminders that their time entries for the previous week are due on Tuesdays at 7pm Central Time.  The band that made millions as the exclusive provider of music education services to Somali day care centers in Minnesota.  The only band that was required to make an HSR filing to appear at Law Rocks Houston 2026.  This is Material Breach.  

Their dangerous concoction of shared influences ranging from Thelonious Monk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Morgan Wallen, Captain and Tennille and former Ohio State quarterback Johnny Utah produces a sound that is raw and intoxicating, but somehow elegant.  But mostly raw and intoxicating.  Expect a set list of rock and country bangers that you can shout along with the band.

Material Breach is Will Fullenweider (guitar, vocals), Robert Cunningham (drums), Marvin Thiele (keys and bass), Austin Sheehy (vocals, guitar) and Michael King (guitar, vocals).

Material Breach is proud to play on behalf of Belong Kitchen, a neighborhood grab and go kitchen that was created to provide dignified, meaningful, paid employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a nurturing environment.

A bunch of family men with too many projects, this band got started as a way to relax and have fun with our own favorite songs. None of us are pros but we all play, and when we get together it just fits. Rock to our collection of classics that don’t bend to a genre but which you’ll know and love.

Fifth-annual Law Rocks Houston champion Twenty 24 Souls is returning this year to light up the stage and rock your faces off with a powerful setlist packed with classics and high-energy hits. Born from the combined talents of Houston favorites "The Muchachones" and "The Patrick Squier Band", Twenty 24 Souls delivers a singular, soulful ROCK sound. Hailing from across North and South America, this dynamic group of lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, fathers and sons passionately pours pure passion into every performance. Our mission: to jam, escape, entertain, and unite. Twenty 24 Souls is: Adam Schiffer (guitar), Luis Rey (guitar, vocals), Jorge Squier (bass), Patrick Squier (lead guitar and vocals), Alexander Squier (keyboard) and David Duerr (drums). 

Twenty 24 Souls is honored to rock for Home Base Texas. HBTX treats Military Veterans for the invisible wounds of war including post-traumatic stress. HBTX offers the only private evidence-based treatment for Veterans in Houston in partnership with the Menninger Clinic. This local treatment as well as a two-week intensive program offered at Home Base's Center of Excellence in Boston is vital for Veterans to successfully transition back to civilian and Family life with the hope of the brighter future they have earned and deserve. Your contribution will enable more Houston Veterans to receive this critical care at no out-of-pocket cost to them.

For the fourth year, Law Rocks is awarding a Music Matters grant in each city to benefit a local organization that supports music education, particularly for underserved youth. Host - Alexander Ansari

Alexander Ansari is thrilled to return as the host of Law Rocks Houston for a 3rd time! As an experienced event emcee with a passion for energizing crowds, he's a natural at rocking the mic. His background as a Global Sales Enablement leader for Meta, a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, and a Samsung Global Master Trainer has equipped him with the skills to connect with diverse audiences. He approaches every event with enthusiasm, eager to share his love for music and create an exciting experience for all.

Alexander's professional journey encompasses global sales enablement, learning and development, AR/VR technology, and human resource consulting, providing him with a comprehensive perspective. He is also the founder of Stay Diverse Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting multiculturalism and diversity, actively working to foster unity and respect across all backgrounds.

Beyond his professional life, Alexander finds joy and inspiration in attending live rock shows. He believes music is a universal language that breaks down barriers, bridging cultures and forging connections worldwide. Through his passion for music, Alexander champions cultural exchange and global harmony, reinforcing the idea that our shared humanity unites us despite our differences.

Theresa, known on-air as Theresa “Rockface”, has been a staple of Houston’s airwaves for over 20 years on 94.5 The Buzz. A true city insider, she’s become a recognizable voice and vibrant presence in Houston’s social scene. Whether she’s behind the mic or out in the crowd, Theresa brings energy, authenticity, and a love for a good time that’s helped make her a standout personality and a longtime part of the fabric of the city.

Judge - Shakeatha Davis

Shakeatha Davis is an attorney, speaker, and multi-passionate entrepreneur. She currently serves as Owner and Principal Attorney for the minority woman owned law firm, the S. Davis Law Group PLLC and Owner of S. Davis Studios LLC.

Her practice areas include Business Law, Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law. Ms. Davis is an expert at assisting small business owners with business structure and development which she is extremely passionate about. In addition to running a full time law practice, Attorney Davis hosts workshops and classes where she teaches business law.  

Prior to opening her legal practice, Ms. Davis worked for the legal department of BP America, and Judicial Intern for both Chief Bankruptcy Judge Jeff Bohm and Judge Kenneth Hoyt. She also was selected for the Presidential Management Fellow Finalist Class of 2013. Ms. Davis earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and English from Xavier University of Louisiana. 

Ms. Davis has been a member of the Top 40 Under 40 for National Black Lawyers and Top 40 Under 40 in Business for the Women’s Association of Attorneys in Business Law for the past two years. She also served Vice Chair of the Copyright and Social Media Committee for the American Bar Association. Lastly Ms. Davis has been a member of the SuperLawyers Rising Star from 2019-2023. 

As she is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, she also enjoys being S. Davis Studios which is an artist development center located in Houston, TX for entertainment artists. Ms. Davis has worked with producers, musicians and singers to produce albums and help them to develop their talents. Music is the passion that drives her interest in business and entertainment law.

Judge - Amanda Fisher
Judge - Amanda Fisher

Native Houstonian, pioneering non-profit leader, and arts education advocate, Amanda Fisher serves as the Executive Director of American Festival for the Arts (AFA), where she leads the organization’s mission to provide world-class music education to over 2,000 students annually. With a career at AFA spanning 33 years—including a 25-year tenure as COO—Amanda has been instrumental in the organization’s growth from a startup inaugural summer program to Houston’s largest provider of year-round youth music programming.

An active community volunteer, Amanda has served in volunteer leadership positions across the non-profit and philanthropic sector focusing on education, athletics, social service, performing arts, and visual arts, and is a sought after advisor on best practices, non-profit and artistic management and fundraising.

Amanda and her husband David, Director of Foundations for The Episcopal Diocese of Texas, are the proud parents of Elizabeth, Marketing and Communications Director for Houston Children’s Charity, and Vivian, a junior at St. Agnes Academy.

Judge - Jessie Watt

Jessie Watt is the afternoon host on Mix 96.5 and has always had a passion for making people laugh, spreading happiness, and mental health advocacy! Although she grew up in Michigan, she fell in love with Houston instantly after moving in 2020. Jessie loves to meet new people and make new friends, including petting any and every dog she meets. Before radio, she was a competitive dance choreographer and instructor for kids ages 4-18 and enjoys being a mentor to her students! Despite being a dancer, she is one of the clumsiest people you’ll ever meet. She has broken over 14 bones in her 30 years on this earth! On the weekends, you can find her sipping a margarita with her husband, Tyler, and reading romantasy books. Jessie loves dance parties, Pitbull, quoting The Office, and napping.
