May 12, 2016. Austin has been a city we've wanted to tour to for a long time and it did not disappoint. Three bands took the stage of the Parish to rock for local nonprofits and an enthusiastic crowd cheered them on. Special thanks to Branscomb for supporting the event!

BANDS
Featuring legal talent from Law Offices of Al Staehely, Jr
Rocking for Music for Mustangs
Al Staehely's roots in the Austin music scene combined with his experience writing and collaborating with artists in Los Angeles (most notably as front man in the psychedelic rock band Spirit) have allowed him to create a sound all his own. Seamlessly blending classic rock, soulful blues with a commanding stage presence, Al is just at home playing intimate solo shows with an acoustic guitar on his knee as he is taking center stage at a rock show. Al's engaging lyrics and creative melodies have peaked the interest of other artists who have recorded his songs- Keith Moon (The Who), Marty Balin (Jefferson Airplane), Peter Cox (Go West), The Nick Gravenites/John Cipollina Band, as well as performers from his own back yard, most recently Houston R&B vocalist Annika Chambers.

Rocking for Workers Defense Project
The Bad Precedents consist of a group of political hacks who literally formed a rock band in a state capitol office during a legislative session. All members worked in the Texas legislature. One of them even was a legislator. All are lawyers, but one. And the only non-lawyer knows more about the practice of law than the lawyers.

Rocking for Austin Clubhouse
While Jack Flack features a broad array of backgrounds, including lawyers, a doctor, and an engineer, they all have one thing in common: They love to rock! With years of combined experience and training, the band is well versed in styles ranging from classic rock to country to funk. They strive to bring the highest level of energy and excitement to every show, and will do the same at Law Rocks. Jack Flack is proud to be playing on behalf of Austin Clubhouse and to support mental health.
NONPROFITS
Austin Clubhouse exists to provide acceptance and empowerment so adults living with mental health diagnoses can pursue personal goals and play a meaningful role as co-workers, colleagues, family members and friends.
Music for Mustangs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to help protect and promote the American Mustang horse through the use of live music. Our immediate goal is to educate and inform the public about the past, present and uncertain future for these largely ignored and mistreated icons of America, including over 30,000 wild horses in U.S. Holding. Our long term goal is to fund a facility that provides a safe sanctuary for wild horses and provides equine therapy, as well as music therapy, to those in need.
