We are so excited that our first ever Paris show was such a huge success! A sold out show, and we are SO proud to be a part of Paris Arbitration Week. A big thank you to our sponsors, Secretariat and IRDC for their support and help in making this happen.
The unenviable task of opening fell to Draft Punk featuring lawyers from White & Case LLP and Pinsent Masons, and they opened brilliantly!! Some real anthems in their set and all those first timers in the crowd knew then what to expect from the rest of the night.
Then came the Bose Brothers, surprisingly from Bose Corporation! An amazing acoustic set from Jérémie Petit and Josefine Kruschke - and we mean REALLY amazing.
Keating Chambers were up next with their usual extravagance! Never do they disappoint and on this occasion might have played their strongest set yet!
The JD Rockin Society from Jones Day were fourth up, and with such a strong set that the entire crowd sung along!
The honour of closing the show fell to Reed Smith LLP's Reed My Lips - not an easy slot to fill when the competition had demonstrated such amazing talent before them, but they were to walk away victorious. Their closing rendition of Killing In The Name Of brought the punk out of everyone in the venue. Worthy winners indeed!
Huge thanks to our Judges Katherine Bell, Marily Paralika and Shai Sharvit for discharging their duties admirably. And a big shout out to all the bands and their fans for making our first Paris show so special. We loved seeing the excitement you brought to your sets, and we saw that excitement magnified back by the crowd.
Law Rocks Paris will be back for the International Bar Association annual conference in November. We hope to see you there!
