The Sixth Annual Law Rocks Phoenix was phenomenal from start to finish! With a night full of high-energy songs, a lot of humor, moving nonprofit introductions, and a crowd dancing the night away, it doesn’t get much better! Congratulations to all bands for giving us a memorable evening of good music and good times - all for a good cause! Over $66K was raised, and we can’t wait to come back again next year.

United by kids in the same elementary school—and a mutual need for adult conversation that doesn’t involve playdates or snack duty—they picked up their instruments and never looked back. From Nirvana to No Doubt, Bone Daddies resurrect the soundtrack of their youth with the confidence only suburban fatherhood can bring.

Armed with serious talent, varied musical chops, and a fearless mix of crowd favorites and deep cuts, The Bone Daddies don’t just play songs—they throw a full-blown flashback. One set in, and even the most suburban crowd is back in homeroom, rocking out like it’s 1999.

Crazy Finger

Crazy Finger is back—bigger, bolder, and possibly even better at remembering what song comes next than ever. The lineup features returning members Stuart Epstein (guitar, vocals), Leon Silver (bass, vocals), Bryan Hawksworth (drums), Arizona Blues Hall of Famer Eric Ramsey (guitar, vocals), and Ron Hoyos (keyboards, vocals), all joined now by the cosmic harmonica of Michael Dallek. Together, they continue their long-running quest to channel the whimsical spirit and musical mayhem of the Grateful Dead. Fans can expect swirling jams, accidental segues, and the kind of joyful chaos that would make Jerry Garcia grin (or at least shrug amiably). Known for swirling jams, unexpected segues, and joyful chaos, the band creates the kind of musical ride where no two nights are ever the same. One moment you’re floating on a gentle groove, the next you’re swept into a storm of sound—always landing somewhere between nostalgia and discovery. So grab your tie-dye, polish your air tambourine, and prepare for the only guarantee in life: a musical journey where “the bus came by, we got on, and that’s where it all began.”

The Hoodlums

Rocking for Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist

The Hoodlums are a five-piece family band excited to be participating in Law Rocks for the fifth consecutive year. Lailah, the drummer, is 10 years old and the heartbeat of the band. Henry, 14, is the lead singer and plays guitar. Ellora, 15, is on keys and the band’s stylist. Nicolle, age not disclosed, is a business lawyer and co-founder of My First Nest Egg, a company dedicated to teaching children financial literacy. Sean, a water lawyer and litigator at Fennemore, Arizona’s oldest law firm, has passed his musical talent and love for 80’s rock to his children. Despite his skills of persuasion, Sean’s children vetoed his requests for self-indulgent guitar solos. The Hoodlums are thrilled to be joined by special guests Julia Hatton (vocals) and Lee Benson (guitar and bass)!

Probustus

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” Unless you called it Probustus. Then it would smell exactly like a group of dads and one mom from Tempe who like to jam on weekends. We want to be rockstars but, you know, we have lives. Michael practices law and plays lead guitar. Andy is a teacher who also happens to sing and play guitar. Paul is a renaissance man who has been credited as a pilot, teacher, and drummer. Little is known of Alex’s past. Maybe he’s the result of top-secret government experiments. Or maybe he’s just a good dude with a penchant for playing bass and gardening. Kim plays keyboard, sings, and knows real music terms like "tonic" and "measure."

Rock Judicata

By day, they’re advocates, advisors, and number-crunchers. By night? They turn up the volume and lay down the law with guitars, drums, and keys. Rock Judicata is a band of legal minds who swap suits for strings to deliver high-energy rock with heart.

On drums, Josiah Reid keeps time with the precision of a courtroom cross-examination. Khaled Tarazi brings the rhythm guitar heat and lead vocals, blending lyrical grit with legal wit. Bassist Chello Johnson brings Euro-Gypsy soul to the low end, keeping the foundation fierce and funky. Lead guitarist Ryan Evans unleashes solos sharp enough to double as closing arguments—when he’s not advising clients at Alpha Rising Wealth Management. Keyboardist and backup vocalist Sumaya Tarazi’s musical flair adds fresh depth and harmony to the band’s sound. And keep your ears peeled for Micah Ensor, the newest guitar ace joining the Rock Judicata ranks with electrifying leads.

Whether they’re rocking the stage at Law Rocks or jamming after hours, Rock Judicata brings a verdict that’s unanimous: Guilty of bringing the house down.

SideGig is a band of legal professionals who scream, pound, and hack their way through songs both beloved and obscure. Fueled by you’ll-never-believe-what-happened-in-the-courtroom-today energy, SideGig is ready to rock your backyard. Until 9:00 p.m. because they need to be at work tomorrow.

For the third year, Law Rocks is awarding a Music Matters grant in each city to benefit a local organization that supports music education, particularly for underserved youth. Learn more about our 2025 Phoenix recipient in our Nonprofit Spotlight on Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers! In a time where public schools are cutting funding for empowering programs like music, dance and art, The Rock cultivates a love of the arts to inspire and challenge teens to embrace artistic excellence and reach their full potential.

Judge - Eleeza Camarillo

Hailing from Yuma, Arizona, Eleeza moved to Phoenix, AZ, in 2014 and began performing in 2019. Noted as a "Vocal Powerhouse," Eleeza has gone from busking in the streets of downtown to recording professionally with Alice Cooper, opening for acts such as Sammy Hagar, Foreigner, and many more. Her extensive range of genres and sultry blend of riffs and runs have garnered her many opportunities, including the proud title of Soloist Winner in Alice Cooper's Proof is in the Pudding Music Competition 2022. Whether in the studio or on the stage, you'll hear inspiration from greats like Whitney Houston, Pat Benatar, and Amy Winehouse. Through faith and music, Eleeza has found healing that has built enough resilience to last a lifetime and continues to grow.

Judge - Stephen Jensen

Stephen Jensen is no stranger to rock n roll and has lived on all sides of the industry. He played guitar in bands throughout the late 1980s-early 1990s playing his first gig at age 17 at the world famous Limelight in Chicago. He went on to sign his first record deal, appear in two music videos that appeared on MTVs Headbanger’s Ball, and toured the US all before he turned 20. Stephen has always had a passion for the mixture of visual arts and music. In the early 1990s, he stepped away from performing focusing on his talent for graphic design and photography for which he received his bachelor’s degree. Stephen has created scores of album covers and packaging for many rock, country, jazz, blues, and hip hop artists, including album cover and artwork for the 2014 Grammy® Award Winning album "Step Back" by Johnny Winter. Continuing with the connection of visual art and music, Stephen began working with several musical instrument manufacturers designing ads, catalogs, merchandise, and products. In 2004, he started working closely with Dean Guitars and designed his first guitar for Dimebag Darrell of Pantera fame. Stephen would go on to design some of the most iconic and top selling guitars for Dimebag, Dave Mustaine, Michael Schenker, Leslie West, Zakk Wylde, Kerry King, Jerry Cantrell, Zoltan Bathory, George Lynch, Trent Reznor, Rik Emmett, Corey Beaulieu, Matt Heafy, Rudolf Schenker, Michael Angelo Batio, and many others. He has also worked as an art director and designer for Stern Pinball responsible for designing games for AC/DC, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, The Walking Dead, Marvel's Avengers, and several others. Stephen has a strong branding and marketing background and has helped to rebrand and launch some of the best brands in the music industry. In 2009, Stephen launched Wornstar Clothing along with is wife, rock n roll stylist and fashion designer Sylvia Jensen. Wornstar Clothing has become one of the premier rock n roll clothing brands in the industry worn on stages all over the world.

Judge - Ed Masley

Ed Masley has been a professional music critic since 1989, initially based in Pittsburgh. He’s been covering the music scene in metro Phoenix for the Arizona Republic and its website, azcentral.com, since 2007. He’s also freelanced for several national publications, including Alternative Press and No Depression, as well as alternative weeklies such as Phoenix New Times and LA Weekly. Ed is also a musician with several well-regarded albums of original material by his bands the Breakup Society and the Frampton Brothers.

Judge - Amy Young

Amy Young is an editor and journalist based in Phoenix, Arizona. She is currently the music editor at Phoenix New Times, has worked at numerous publications, and has experience in radio, podcasting, and storytelling. She is a former art gallery owner and currently curates regular exhibitions in public and private galleries and at events. In her spare time, she volunteers for different nonprofit organizations.
